All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Old Farm Surgery in the last financial year 2015/16 was £39,405 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 3 part time GPs and 1 locum GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.
Family doctors are stretched to breaking point, and new recruits don't want to train to be GPs. To add insult to injury, GP funding to deprived areas and smaller practices is also in danger.
